Everything you need to know before you book a taxi or transfer to or from Bristol Airport.
Bristol Airport (BRS) is at Lulsgate in North Somerset, about 8 miles south of Bristol city centre. The postcode for satnav is BS48 3DY. It is the main airport for Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire and South Wales, and it has a single passenger terminal, so every departure and arrival uses the same building.
Because the airport sits outside the city, getting there takes some planning. Early flights leave before much of the public transport is running, and late arrivals can mean a long wait for the last bus. A pre-booked Bristol Airport taxi takes the guesswork out of the trip.
For a departure, your driver collects you from your home, hotel or office and takes you to Bristol Airport. For an arrival, your driver is ready when you land and takes you to any address in Bristol or the surrounding area.
Choose meet and greet when you book. Your driver waits inside the terminal with a name board and helps with your luggage. We confirm the meeting details in your booking message, so you know what to look for before you land.
Every option has its place. This is how they compare for most travellers.
| Option | Good for | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked transfer with us | Door to door travel from any address, early starts, late landings and groups | Fixed price agreed at booking. Flights are tracked and meet and greet is free. |
| Airport Flyer bus | Travelling light from Bristol Temple Meads | Runs to a set timetable, so check it if your flight is very early or late. |
| Train and bus | Rail travellers coming into Bristol | The airport has no railway station. The nearest main station is Bristol Temple Meads, around 7 miles away. |
| Taxi from the airport forecourt | Short notice trips on arrival | You pay on the day and may wait at busy times. |
| Ride hailing apps | Short trips within the city | Prices can rise at busy times, and availability varies at night. |
| Driving and parking | Travellers who want their own car | You pay for parking for the whole trip, and you drive yourself after a late landing. |
If you are travelling with luggage, with children, at night or from outside the city, a pre-booked transfer is usually the simplest choice.

It was pleasant experience and baggage counter did their job well but lot of checking where i am going next country visa, residence stay etc. Place is nice and gave positive vibe. Many thanks to airport staff and all those involved in the process.Posted on Google![]()

Posted on Google![]()

As with all UK Airports, dropping off and picking up charges are ridiculous! £8.00 for 20 minutes is dearer than central London. The airport itself has all the amenities you would expect and the duty free section is nicely laid out. Going through customs is the same everywhere, but at least like most modern airports, you don't have to put your liquids in plastic bags. Overall not a bad experience, plane delays are nothing to do with the airport so I can't blame them for that.Posted on Google![]()

We arrived last evening from Rome at 5 minutes past midnight looking forward to getting home, a quick passage through customs gave us hope although we had been dumped by a bus out the back in a dirty, unkept, undecorated series of passages that hardly told us we are entering a proud country. Then we waited for our baggage for over an hour and a half before we heard someone shouting that all suitcases were being dumped up the other end of the terminal. Unbelievable. There was rubbish everywhere, staff that we saw were untidy looking, chewing gum and and chatting amongst themselves as if it was a normal day at work. It needs someone to get hold of this airport, make it efficient and sort out the culture.
